Indian Air Chief’s Claim Controversial: Baseless and Ill-Timed, Warns of Escalating Risks in Nuclearized Environment

Islamabad: Pakistani military analysts and international observers have dismissed the recent claim by the Indian Air Force Chief regarding the destruction of Pakistani aircraft during Operation Sindoor (2019) as “baseless, irresponsible, and gravely ill-timed.” This statement appears to be an attempt to use the face of the Indian military to cover up colossal failures caused by strategic shortsightedness.
Evidence of Baselessness: International and Independent Eyewitnesses
Pakistan’s Immediate Detailed Presentation: Immediately after the incident, Pakistan provided international media with detailed technical briefings substantiating the failure of the Indian airstrike.
Independent Evidence: World leaders (including confidential reports from U.S. and European officials), senior Indian politicians (opposition parties), and international intelligence assessments acknowledged India’s loss of multiple aircraft (including Rafale jets).
3-Month Silence: The Indian side made no claims of aircraft destruction for three months after the incident, raising serious doubts about its credibility.
Actual Outcome of Operation Sindoor (Pakistani Claims):
Pakistani Aircraft: Zero losses. No Pakistani aircraft was damaged or destroyed by the Indian attack.
Indian Losses:
6 Indian fighter jets (including Rafale)
S-400 air defense system batteries
Multiple unmanned aerial vehicles (drones)
Several Indian airbases temporarily incapacitated.
Disproportionate Losses on LoC: Indian military losses on the Line of Control were significantly higher compared to Pakistan’s.
Verification Challenge and Political Gamesmanship
“If truth itself is in question,” Pakistani analysts challenged, “let both sides open their aircraft inventories for verification by an independent international team. We believe this would expose the reality India seeks to conceal.”
These claims are described as “comical narratives” crafted for domestic political expediency. Analysts warned: “Wars are not won by lies, but by moral authority, national resolve, and professional competence. Such false narratives heighten grave risks of strategic miscalculation in a nuclear-weaponized region.”
Clear Warning: Consequences of Sovereignty Violation
Finally, referencing Operation Bunyanum Marsoos (Pakistan’s retaliatory strike), a clear warning was issued:
“Every violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty and territorial integrity will invite swift, surefire, and proportionate response. Strategically blind leaders who gamble with South Asia’s peace for fleeting political gains will bear full responsibility for any ensuing escalation.”
This controversy underscores the critical need for transparency and accountability in military claims in South Asia, where the threat of nuclear war remains real.
