Kim Jong Un’s Warning: “Prepare for War if Maduro Is Not Released”

Pyongyang / North Korea’s Supreme Leader Kim Jong Un has issued a warning that serious consequences will follow if Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro is not released immediately. Kim strongly condemned the detention of Maduro, calling it an open violation of international law and national sovereignty.
According to North Korea’s state media KCNA, Kim Jong Un, through an official statement, urged the concerned parties to take immediate steps to ensure Maduro’s release. The statement said, “If the act of holding the legitimate president of Venezuela hostage through political conspiracy continues, the response will not be limited to the diplomatic level alone.”
Kim described the incident not merely as an attack on Venezuela, but as a challenge to all independent and sovereign nations. He indicated that North Korea would stand firmly with Venezuela and was prepared to adopt “all kinds of measures” if necessary.
Following this warning, both interest and concern have grown within the international community. Analysts say that Kim Jong Un’s reference to war signals a further complication of geopolitical tensions beyond the Korean Peninsula. In particular, the United States, the European Union, and Latin American countries are viewing the statement with seriousness.
Sources close to the Venezuelan government have protested the action against Maduro, describing it as an “attempt to disrupt the international balance of power.” However, no official confirmation has yet been made public regarding Maduro’s condition, whereabouts, or who has him under control.
This development signals a new source of tension in global politics. After Kim Jong Un’s warning, international attention is now focused on how the concerned parties will respond.
