Israeli Forces Carry Out Major Airstrikes in Southern Lebanon

According to Lebanon’s National News Agency (NNA), Israeli forces carried out more than ten airstrikes on Sunday afternoon in the village of Kfar Hatta, located in the Litani River area of southern Lebanon.
The airstrikes were preceded by a warning from an Israeli military spokesperson. Spokesperson Avichay Adraee stated on X that Israel would soon target a Hezbollah military infrastructure site in Kfar Hatta. He said the strike was intended to prevent Hezbollah from resuming its activities at the site.
Adraee urged local residents to move to safer locations in preparation for the planned strike. He said, “For your safety, you are required to evacuate immediately and move at least 300 meters away.”
According to the NNA report, the airstrikes caused extensive damage to buildings in the area.
Meanwhile, Israel also carried out large-scale airstrikes on several areas in southern Lebanon on Sunday, including the towns of Jbaa and Jezzine. There have been no immediate reports of casualties or injuries.
The Israeli army has frequently conducted airstrikes in Lebanon. It claims that these operations are aimed at eliminating “threats” posed by Hezbollah. This comes despite a permanent ceasefire between Hezbollah and Israel, brokered by the United States and France, which has been in effect since November 27, 2024.
