‘Bhadau 23-24 Mahavinash: Conspiracy to Turn the Country into a Laboratory Again’ : Oli

Kathmandu. CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has alleged that the entire system was attacked on the 23rd and 24th of Bhadau, terming the incidents of those days as ‘Mahavinash’ (Great Destruction) and ‘Mahaaparadh’ (Great Crime). Addressing a manifesto launch program organized in Kathmandu, he warned that the country is currently caught in a conflict between forces that seek to destroy and those that seek to build, and there is an attempt to turn it into a ‘laboratory’ once again.
Oli mentioned that clouds of uncertainty have loomed over the country since the destruction on Bhadau 23 and 24, stating, “At this moment, the country stands at a crossroads. On one side, there is anger, impulse, and outrage; on the other side, there is conscience and responsibility.” He urged everyone to remain vigilant against the ongoing attempts to turn the country into a laboratory again.
Chairman Oli claimed that the incident of Bhadau 24 was not unexpected but a planned attack on Nepal’s sovereignty and existence. “To hide the face of that great crime committed against the nation, some elements put on the mask of a new power and presented themselves,” he said. “We must not delay in identifying them.”
Raising questions about the Gen-Z protesters, he said, “They raised non-existent demands, questioned why the parliament was dissolved. Were these incidents spontaneous or planned?” He stated that answers to these questions must be sought.
Commenting that the country fell into a political vicious cycle during the 2079 BS elections, Oli recalled that UML had sought votes in favor of political stability at that time. He clarified that they are far from thoughtless and directionless stunts, and that UML’s destination is only a ‘Happy Nepal, Prosperous Nepal’.
