Bilateral Meeting on the Sidelines of the AI Summit: India-Slovakia Relations Expected to Strengthen

Kathmandu, February 20. A bilateral meeting took place between Prime Minister Narendra Modi and President Peter Pellegrini of the Slovak Republic on the sidelines of the AI Impact Summit. During this meeting between the two leaders, they reviewed all dimensions of bilateral relations and discussed ways to further strengthen ties in areas including trade and investment, digital technologies, defense, space, energy, culture, and people-to-people linkages.
Both leaders welcomed the fresh momentum generated in bilateral relations by the historic India-European Union Trade Agreement and the India-EU Joint Comprehensive Strategic Agenda 2030. They expressed confidence that these agreements would help further solidify cooperation between the two countries.
According to a statement issued after the talks, both leaders agreed to further strengthen India-Slovakia relations for mutual benefit, especially in the digital sector. Along with this, cooperation between the two countries in the fields of information technology and digital innovation is expected to increase.
