Gathering of Ambassadors at Russian Foreign Ministry on Occasion of Chinese New Year: A New Dimension to Asian Partnership

Kathmandu, February 20. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs hosted a traditional reception on February 19 on the occasion of the Lunar New Year. The reception, hosted by Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Andrei Rudenko, was attended by ambassadors and senior diplomats from Asian countries including China, North Korea, Mongolia, Vietnam, Malaysia, South Korea, and Singapore.
Addressing the gathering, Deputy Minister Rudenko extended heartfelt New Year wishes to all present and briefly reviewed the diplomatic achievements of the past year. He highlighted the current state and future prospects of relations between Russia and countries of the region, while also outlining the key priorities of Russian foreign policy in the Asian direction.
According to sources, the reception took place in a warm and friendly atmosphere. It is expected to contribute to further deepening diplomatic relations between Russia and East Asian as well as Southeast Asian nations.
