Birgunj – A major conspiracy to disrupt religious harmony has been foiled in Parsa, with police taking three individuals into custody along with nine crude bombs (sutli bombs) and a pig’s head. They were arrested from the Chhapkaiya area in Birgunj Metropolitan City-16, according to the District Police Office, Parsa.

Those arrested include local resident Krishna Yadav, Rohit Patel of Inaruwa, Sunsari, and Avajit Yadav. Preliminary investigations suggest they had planned to throw the pig’s head at a mosque in Ward No. 16 and detonate crude bombs to spread terror in the area.

However, before they could execute their heinous plan, a Nepali Army team pursued and apprehended them. A team deployed under the command of Nepali Army Second Lieutenant Vikash Marhatta spotted suspicious activities and arrested them, officials stated. Police have confirmed that nine crude bombs and a pig’s head were recovered from those arrested.

Police have initiated an investigation against them on charges of attempting to disrupt religious harmony. Although the incident briefly created tension in the Birgunj area, a joint team of police and the army has brought the situation under control. Police have stated that additional security personnel have been deployed in the area and local residents have been urged to maintain peace.
