Call for Military Rule: Claim that Election Will Not Provide Solution After King’s Address

Hetauda – A independent Nepali citizen has claimed that military rule is imperative in the country, stating that it is essential for the army and security personnel to understand the intent of King Gyanendra Shah’s address on Falgun 6.

In a press release issued by Rakesh Kumar Sharma of Hetauda Sub-Metropolitan City-2, Makwanpur, it is mentioned that there is a possibility of anarchy, instability, and bloodshed in the country after the election scheduled for Falgun 21. He has urged the Chief of Army Staff to immediately implement military rule for good governance by ending misrule.

The press release states, “The army and security personnel are our friends. Our country is about to sink, oh army, please save it.” Sharma has also urged the army and security personnel to support and back King Gyanendra Shah. He has highlighted the risk that an election without national consensus and all-party agreement could increase conflict and division.
