Annual Session of China’s Top Political Advisory Body Opens, Setting Direction for National Development

Beijing — The annual session of the National Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), China’s top political advisory body, has opened grandly in Beijing on Wednesday.
Chinese President Xi Jinping attended the opening meeting of the Fourth Session of the 14th CPPCC National Committee at the Great Hall of the People, along with other top leaders. During the opening session, the agenda for the coming days was reviewed and adopted.
On the occasion, Wang Huning, Chairman of the CPPCC National Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Standing Committee of the CPPCC National Committee. He highlighted past achievements and outlined future strategies, discussing the role of the political advisory body in promoting national unity and development.
The annual session of China’s political advisory body is expected to make significant contributions to the formulation of national development plans and policies.
