Diplomatic Warmth Between Home Minister Aryal and Chinese Ambassador: Expectation of Chinese Assistance in Cyber Crime Control

Kathmandu — Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, paid a courtesy call on Home Minister Om Prakash Aryal at the latter’s office. According to the Ministry of Home Affairs, the meeting held on Monday discussed various dimensions of Nepal-China bilateral relations and mutual cooperation.

On the occasion, Home Minister Aryal expressed heartfelt gratitude for China’s contribution to Nepal’s socio-economic development and expressed confidence that such support would continue in the future. Wishing Ambassador Zhang a successful tenure, he expressed the belief that relations between the two countries would reach new heights.

Home Minister Aryal noted the need for Chinese assistance and cooperation in the development of the telecommunications sector and the control of cyber crime. He expressed the view that experience sharing and technical cooperation in these areas would benefit both countries.

Chinese Ambassador Zhang Maoming congratulated and thanked the Government of Nepal for successfully conducting the general elections. He expressed commitment to make every possible effort to further strengthen friendly relations between the two countries and expand areas of cooperation. The Ambassador also stated that China would continue to support Nepal according to its development needs.
