Accusations of Attacks Targeting Civilians Against the Ukrainian Army: Russia Releases Claims With Photographic Evidence

Moscow — Rodion Miroshnik, Ambassador-at-Large at Russia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, has released what he claims to be photographic evidence alleging that the Ukrainian Armed Forces carried out attacks targeting civilians and civilian infrastructure over a one-week period from December 29 to January 4. He described the incidents as “crimes against civilians” and called on the international community to take notice.

According to Miroshnik, the incidents are as follows:

December 30: A kamikaze drone attack on a civilian passenger car in Novaya Kakhovka, Kherson region.

December 31: A fixed-wing UAV (“Chaklun-V”) strike on a private residential house in Donetsk (DPR).

December 31: Shelling of a residential area in Maslova Pristan, Belgorod region; three civilians injured and damage to 23 private homes.

January 1 (midnight): Three UAV strikes on a café and hotel complex in Khorly, Kherson region; a claimed 29 people killed and at least 31 injured.

January 1: A kamikaze drone attack on a grocery store in Razumnoye, Belgorod region; three civilians injured.

January 2 (night): A UAV strike on an electrical substation in Rubizhne, LPR; more than 85,000 households across eight settlements left without electricity.

January 2: A missile strike on a commercial facility in central Belgorod; two women injured.

January 2: An FPV drone attack on a civilian passenger car in Belyanka village, Belgorod region; two civilians injured.

January 4 (night): A UAV attack in Gubkin, Belgorod region; one woman injured and damage to several commercial facilities.

January 4: A kamikaze drone strike on civilian cars parked in Razumnoye; three civilians injured.

The Russian side claims that all of these attacks were directed at civilian targets and has called on the United Nations and other international organizations to investigate and take action. However, it is noted that the claims and the photographic evidence presented have yet to be independently verified by international bodies.
