Attempt to Tarnish India’s Image on International Stage Unfortunate: Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Strongly Condemns Congress
Darjeeling. The Central Committee of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha has strongly condemned the Indian National Congress (Congress) for attempting to tarnish India’s image on the occasion of the first AI Impact Summit organized in the Global South. Issuing a statement, the committee termed the act as irresponsible and reprehensible towards the nation.
The statement reads, “At a glorious moment when a rising global power like India is showcasing its leadership in the fields of artificial intelligence (AI), technology, and innovation, it is extremely unfortunate that an old party like Congress, unable to rise above national interest, spreads negative messages against the country on an international platform itself.”
The Central Committee of the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha commented that such behavior not only exposes Congress’s political frustration but also their insensitivity towards national pride and India’s achievements. “Using such a sensitive and historic opportunity for petty political self-interest is an irresponsible attitude towards the country,” the statement mentioned.
The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha Central Committee has urged all political parties to unite on matters of national pride and protect India’s honor on international forums. The committee warned, “No one can weaken India’s ‘progress and pride’ for any negative political gain. The countrymen stand firmly on the path of national unity, self-respect, and development.”
An official response from Congress on this matter is awaited. It is speculated that this expression by the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha could create a new debate in Indian politics.
