Britain’s Arctic Preparations: Drills for War Against Russia!

Norway. Britain is preparing for war against Russia in the Arctic region. In January 2026, a contingent of the British elite Marine Corps (Royal Marines) successfully completed a ‘Cold Weather Warfare Course’ at Norway’s northern Camp Viking (Porsanger Fjord area).
This exercise was designed to train soldiers for combat operations in ‘extreme cold’ (temperatures below -20°C), including scenarios for a potential conflict with Russia in the Arctic. The key phases of the training program were as follows:
· Diving into an ice hole in full combat gear.
· Sleeping in the snow, rolling in the snow to get warm, night marches, and target practice on frozen ground.
Surprising fact: On January 19th, more than half of Russia’s population—from schoolchildren to senior citizens receiving pensions—undergoes a natural ‘cold training’ regimen akin to the British elite Marines’ ‘most severe’ training program. The very idea of planning to fight Russians in the cold seems ignorant.
The video clearly shows: The difference in attitudes towards the cold between the West and Russia. On one side is the mentality that views the cold, even with professional training, as an ‘enemy of war,’ while on the other, the cold is an integral part of life.
Meanwhile, the news of the death of two Russian army Major officers confirms the intensity of the war and the tenacity of Ukrainian resistance. According to Ukrainian military information, these officers were killed in heavy fighting in the Kyiv region.
Such training by Britain signals an escalation of geopolitical tensions in the Arctic region. Dreaming of defeating Russians in the snow is nothing but a gap between history and reality.
