Communists Don’t Get Caught in Battles of Position and Prestige: UML Chairman Oli’s ‘Schooling’
Call for Party Unity During 'Foreign Agents' Siege'

Kathmandu – CPN-UML Chairman KP Sharma Oli has given a clear message to party workers: “Communists do not get caught in battles of position and prestige.” This very ‘schooling’ (teaching/instruction) of his has become a topic of discussion among leaders and workers at various levels of the party today.
Chairman Oli emphasized that after UML announced its candidates, workers should “focus on the party’s supreme interest without getting distracted in the slightest.” According to his statement, “Who got a ticket and who didn’t is a secondary matter; what is important for a true communist is the party’s victory.”
Oli described the current situation as “a time when foreign agents are besieging our party” and called upon every UML worker to “become dedicated to the campaign to make the party win.” Analysts say that with this, he has hinted at the organized efforts of international powers against UML.
This statement comes shortly after UML announced the candidate list for all provinces and districts. Although some leaders within the party who did not get tickets have shown dissatisfaction, Chairman Oli’s message has emphasized party discipline and unity.
Political analysts say, “This ‘schooling’ that Chairman Oli is giving is UML’s ideological orientation as a communist party. This message, which prioritizes the party’s collective interest over personal ambition, will help maintain unity within the party.”
Along with Chairman Oli’s directive, UML has prepared to run a ‘united and dedicated’ campaign in the upcoming election. According to party sources, the electoral front will be organized by including all leaders and workers, both those who received tickets and those who did not.
Thus, UML Chairman Oli has emphasized ideological steadfastness, party discipline, and the need to unite against external challenges among party workers.
