Fifth Day of Joint U.S.-Israeli Attack on Iran: Intense School Bombing Kills 185 Students and Teachers

Tehran — Attacks on Iran continue on the fifth day of the joint U.S.-Israeli military operation. The Israeli military announced on Wednesday morning that it had carried out widespread airstrikes on Iranian launch sites, aerial defense systems, and infrastructure.
According to an Israeli military statement, the Israeli Air Force bombed dozens of government command centers and internal security facilities in Tehran. Warplanes dropped dozens of munitions on the volunteer Basij force and internal security command centers.
Following warnings of missiles launched from Iran, sirens blared across Israel throughout Wednesday night and into the morning, while powerful interception blasts shook buildings.
According to Iran’s official news agency IRNA, citing Education Minister Alireza Kazemi, approximately 185 students and teachers have been killed and around 120 injured across Iran in the U.S.-Israeli operation. About 20 schools and educational buildings have been destroyed in these attacks.
While inspecting damaged schools in Tehran on Tuesday, Education Minister Kazemi stated, “The bombing of schools, hospitals, and rescue and relief centers by the United States and Israel is a violation of international conventions, commitments, and law, and will remain a dark stain on the pages of history.”
Concern is growing within the international community regarding these attacks, with various nations expressing grief over the human casualties.
