As part of the campaign to remove encroached structures and settlements, bulldozers were deployed at the site to demolish the structures.<\/p>\n<p>Compared to the Thapathali area, the Gaurighat settlement was found to have a greater number of concrete permanent structures. A joint team comprising Nepal Police, the Armed Police Force, and Kathmandu Metropolitan Police was mobilized during the clearance operation.<\/p>\n<p>According to police, no obstruction was encountered while vacating the settlement. However, security personnel were kept on high alert keeping in view any potential disruptions.
