From the crown of the Himalayas,
\nwhen the white light of peace descends,
\nwithin that very light appears
\nthe long road of friendship
\nbetween Nepal and Russia.<\/p>\n

Seventy years,
\nnot merely a number
\nwritten in the book of time,
\nbut a letter of trust,
\na fragrance of relations,
\na warm radiance of respect
\nspreading from heart to heart.<\/p>\n

On one side,
\nthe glory of Sagarmatha;
\non the other,
\nthe deep flow of the Volga.
\nTwo different geographies,
\nyet one shared feeling:
\npeace, cooperation and friendship,
\nheld by unwavering faith.<\/p>\n

When Nepal dreamed of development,
\nRussia extended a hand of goodwill.
\nAlong the paths of education, science, technology
\nand people-to-people relations,
\nit lit the lamp of cooperation.<\/p>\n

How many Nepali students
\ngathered the letters of knowledge
\non Russian soil;
\nhow many dreams
\nfound the direction of the future
\non the streets of Moscow;
\nhow many memories
\nhave continued to bring
\nthe peoples of the two countries
\ncloser together.<\/p>\n

This relationship
\nis not the language of pressure,
\nnor a trade of narrow interest.
\nIt is diplomacy standing on respect,
\ncooperation blooming in equality,
\nand a foundation of trust
\nmade stronger by the test of time.<\/p>\n

Nepal may be small in geography,
\nbut its soul is vast.
\nRussia may be vast in geography,
\nbut in the meaning of friendship,
\nits hand is even greater.<\/p>\n

Today, on this seventieth anniversary,
\nhistory speaks to us:
\ndo not merely remember friendship,
\nconnect it with the dreams of a new generation;
\nconnect it with education,
\nwith culture,
\nwith science, tourism, energy
\nand new horizons of cooperation.<\/p>\n

The world is changing,
\na new balance of power is being born,
\nyet true friendship
\nnever grows old.
\nIt deepens with time,
\nmatures with experience,
\nand, with trust,
\nbecomes a guide
\nfor the journey ahead.<\/p>\n

Nepal and Russia,
\ntwo countries, two civilizations,
\nyet one melody of friendship,
\none desire for peace,
\nand one shared light of humanity.<\/p>\n

May this journey of seventy years
\nbecome the foundation
\nfor the next hundred years.
\nMay people-to-people relations
\ngrow ever deeper.
\nMay Nepal\u2013Russia friendship remain
\nas steadfast as Sagarmatha,
\nas profound as the Volga,
\nand as radiant as the morning sun.<\/p>\n

Long live Nepal\u2013Russia friendship.
\nMay the journey of peace, cooperation and goodwill continue forever.<\/p>\n
