Minsk \u2014 Chinese Vice President Han Zheng has called for further expansion of economic and trade cooperation between China and Belarus.<\/p>\n

Speaking on Sunday at the Belarus special event titled \u201cBig Market for All: Export to China\u201d in Minsk, Han emphasized the need to make trade, industrial cooperation and transport connectivity between the two countries more effective.<\/p>\n

Han said that in more than 30 years since China and Belarus established diplomatic relations, their traditional friendship has withstood the test of time and grown steadily stronger. He noted that the successful meeting between Chinese President Xi Jinping and Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko last August had drawn a new blueprint for bilateral relations and injected fresh momentum into cooperation across various fields.<\/p>\n

According to Han, the current global political and economic situation is undergoing profound and complex changes, creating challenges for national development and global free trade. In such circumstances, he said, Chinese President Xi has stressed that global solidarity and cooperation are the only correct way forward.<\/p>\n

Describing Belarus as one of the first countries to actively respond to and participate in the Belt and Road Initiative, Han said China regards Belarus as an important trade and economic partner in the Eurasian region.<\/p>\n

He said China is willing to strengthen policy coordination and industrial cooperation with Belarus, facilitate trade channels, expand trade volume, develop new forms of the digital economy, and promote fast, efficient and convenient transport through the China-Europe Railway Express. These efforts, he said, would help create favorable conditions for the sustained development of bilateral trade and contribute to the building of an open global economy.<\/p>\n

Han also noted that this year marks the beginning of China\u2019s 15th Five-Year Plan. China, he said, remains committed to opening up as a fundamental national policy and to sharing development opportunities with the world for common progress.<\/p>\n

Last year, China launched the \u201cBig Market for All: Export to China\u201d series of events. Han said the initiative aims to expand cooperation with trading partners, jointly address development challenges, uphold the multilateral trading system and free trade, and inject positive energy into the world economy.<\/p>\n

The Belarus special session in Minsk is the first overseas event of the 2026 \u201cExport to China\u201d series. More than 40 Chinese enterprises and over 200 Belarusian enterprises took part in matchmaking discussions at the event. Han said the program provides an important channel for Belarusian products to enter the Chinese market.<\/p>\n

Han said China welcomes Belarus to seize this opportunity and continue expanding the scope of trade cooperation with China. He expressed confidence that such cooperation would bring win-win outcomes for both sides and open a new chapter in China-Belarus economic and trade relations.<\/p>\n

The event was jointly organized by China\u2019s Ministry of Commerce and Belarus\u2019 Ministry of Foreign Affairs. More than 500 political and business representatives from the two countries attended. Participating enterprises from both sides held on-site business meetings and reached agreements on several cooperation projects.<\/p>\n
