Preparations are reportedly being made to administer the oath of office and secrecy to him at 3 p.m. today.<\/p>\n<p>Pun, who is also the founder of the National Innovation Center, has long been active in the fields of science, technology, research and innovation. He is widely known for his work in promoting rural technology, domestic research, and young scientists and innovators.<\/p>\n<p>An independent lawmaker, Pun had earlier served as education minister in the government led by then Prime Minister Sushila Karki.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, former Home Minister Sudan Gurung, who had resigned after questions were raised about his asset details, is set to return to the Home Ministry.
