According to a statement released by the Kremlin press service, the meeting focused particularly on the implementation of the bilateral agreement signed on May 9 and the prospects for expanding cooperation in its aftermath.<\/p>\n<p>The Kremlin stated that &#8220;current matters pertaining to the ties between Russia and South Ossetia were discussed. Both sides reviewed progress across a broad spectrum of bilateral cooperation and held in-depth deliberations on the prospects for further expanding the dialogue.&#8221; During the talks, the Russian side reaffirmed its continued commitment to the partnership with South Ossetia.<\/p>\n<p>This meeting marks the first major political dialogue since the landmark agreement was concluded on May 9 of this year. The agreement is expected to elevate cooperation between the two countries to a new level. Both presidents agreed to deepen collaboration in key areas of mutual interest. Discussions also covered regional stability, alongside strengthening economic, political and humanitarian cooperation.<\/p>\n<p>South Ossetian President Gagloyev expressed gratitude for the warm hospitality extended by the Russian side and affirmed his commitment to further strengthening the bonds between the two countries.
