Lawmakers in the House of Representatives have drawn the government\u2019s attention to several current national issues, with a strong focus on alleged serious errors in the publication of Grade 12 examination results.<\/p>\n

Speaking during today\u2019s House meeting, Nepali Congress lawmaker Gita Gurung said the concerns raised by students over the Grade 12 results should be addressed without delay. She called for an investigation into the alleged errors and demanded action against those responsible if wrongdoing is established.<\/p>\n

Another Nepali Congress lawmaker, Pramila Gachhadar, said affected students had taken to protest and urged the government to treat the matter seriously. She said the issue was directly linked to the academic future of students and should be resolved with sensitivity.<\/p>\n

Lawmakers also raised concerns over road safety, infrastructure, health services, sports governance and landless citizens.<\/p>\n

Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Indira Ranamagar drew the government\u2019s attention to the death of Anukriti Chapagain, who was hit by a tipper truck at the Aduwa Khola bridge in Birtamod Municipality 3 of Jhapa. She urged the Home Administration to investigate reports that the victim\u2019s family had been threatened by the alleged offender.<\/p>\n

CPN UML lawmaker Nita Ghatani said stricter legal provisions were needed to prevent road accidents caused by reckless driving. She also called for proper relief for the victim\u2019s family.<\/p>\n

Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Shraddha Kunwar Kshetri said the suspension of the All Nepal Football Association by FIFA while the World Cup was underway had deeply disappointed Nepali players and football fans. She said the development had damaged the country\u2019s reputation and called for accountability from the concerned authorities.<\/p>\n

CPN UML lawmaker Dr Arjun Karki urged the government not to allow work on the transmission line under construction in Sankhuwasabha to be halted. He said development projects should not be obstructed and called for necessary facilitation by the government.<\/p>\n

UML lawmaker Ambika Devi Sangraula called for the immediate reconstruction of the road section damaged by erosion from the Roshi Khola along the BP Highway. She said the damaged road had created serious problems for passengers and local residents.<\/p>\n

Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker Mohan Lal Acharya said instructions had been issued through the chief district officer to the project chief to immediately fill potholes along the Butwal Gorusinge section of the East West Highway, but the instruction had not been implemented. He said the poor condition of the road had caused difficulties for passengers, drivers and local communities.<\/p>\n

Rastriya Swatantra Party lawmaker KP Khanal accused the provincial government of not taking the operation of Lamkichuha Hospital in Kailali seriously. He said the hospital should be made operational on a priority basis to ensure basic health services for local people.<\/p>\n

Communist Party of Nepal lawmaker Balawati Sharma urged the government to immediately address the problems of squatters and landless citizens. She also said proposals to abolish provincial assemblies or reduce the number of local levels should not be pursued.<\/p>\n

Nepali Congress lawmaker Prakash Singh Karki said Narayan Prasad Parajuli of Thulung Dudhkoshi Rural Municipality 3 in Solukhumbu had been seriously injured after receiving an electric shock. He urged the concerned authorities to ensure that wires from hydropower projects are not left in unsafe conditions.<\/p>\n

During the meeting, lawmakers urged the government to take immediate and responsible action on issues related to education, road safety, infrastructure, health services, energy projects, sports governance and landless citizens.<\/p>\n
