The two ministers noted that Russia\u2013Seychelles relations have traditionally been friendly and are based on the principles of mutual respect, equality and a balance of each other\u2019s interests.<\/p>\n<p>Both sides reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening political dialogue and expanding partnership in trade, economy, investment, science, education, culture, humanitarian cooperation and other areas.<\/p>\n<p>Diplomatic relations between Russia and Seychelles were established on June 30, 1976. Since then, the two countries have maintained cooperation based on political dialogue, development partnership, education, culture and mutual support on international platforms.<\/p>\n<p>Seychelles, an island nation in the Indian Ocean, holds strategic importance due to its location linking Africa, Asia and maritime security routes.
