The discussion was held in line with the agreements reached during the Russian President\u2019s state visit to Kazakhstan in May 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Particular attention was paid to the implementation of mutually beneficial bilateral projects in trade, the economy and energy. Russia and Kazakhstan have long maintained close cooperation in politics, economy, energy, transport, security and regional affairs.<\/p>\n<p>The leaders also exchanged views on international and regional issues. During the discussion, President Tokayev shared his impressions following his recent visit to Brussels.<\/p>\n<p>Russia and Kazakhstan are regarded as important partners in Eurasian geopolitics, regional connectivity, energy security and multilateral cooperation.
