The mountains never ask,
\n\u201cTo which nation does this snow belong?\u201d
\nThe rivers never pause to wonder,
\n\u201cWithin whose borders does this water flow?\u201d<\/p>\n

The wind carries no passport,
\nthe clouds seek no visa,
\nand when the sun rises in the East,
\nit brings the same light
\nto every courtyard.<\/p>\n

Then why must we
\nspeak only
\nthe language of walls?<\/p>\n

Nepal\u2014
\na nation cradled by the Himalayas,
\nkeeping alive
\nthe lamp of peace.<\/p>\n

China\u2014
\nopening new roads of possibility
\nthrough labor, discipline,
\nand the power to build.<\/p>\n

India\u2014
\na vast land carrying
\nthe ancient currents
\nof civilization, diversity, and life.<\/p>\n

Russia\u2014
\nan immense country that has weathered
\nthe storms of history,
\npreserving its identity,
\nits resilience, and its strength.<\/p>\n

Four nations,
\nfour histories,
\nfour experiences,
\nfour distinct journeys\u2014<\/p>\n

yet the question of the future
\nis one:<\/p>\n

Can we make cooperation
\ngreater than competition?
\nTrust greater than suspicion?
\nDialogue greater than confrontation?
\nEquality greater than domination?<\/p>\n

If we can,
\nthis vast geography of Asia
\nneed not become a map of war\u2014
\nit can become
\na roadmap to prosperity.<\/p>\n

May Kathmandu\u2019s morning
\nmeet the light of Beijing;
\nmay Delhi\u2019s energy
\njoin Moscow\u2019s experience.<\/p>\n

May the roads across the Himalayas
\nbecome not merely routes of commerce,
\nbut pathways of trust.<\/p>\n

May the wheels of trains
\ncarry more than goods\u2014
\nmay they carry friendship.<\/p>\n

May highways
\nconnect more than cities\u2014
\nmay they connect hearts.<\/p>\n

May energy networks
\nilluminate more than homes\u2014
\nmay they kindle
\nthe hope of prosperity.<\/p>\n

May universities
\ngrant more than degrees;
\nmay they raise a generation
\ncapable of imagining
\na shared future.<\/p>\n

In laboratories,
\nmay Chinese scientists,
\nIndian researchers,
\nRussian technologists,
\nand Nepali talent
\nseek together the answer
\nto one essential question:<\/p>\n

How can human life
\nbe made safer,
\nhealthier,
\nand more prosperous?<\/p>\n

May farmers in their fields
\nlook not at borders,
\nbut at the quality of the seed.<\/p>\n

May factories write
\nnot another chapter
\nin the rivalry of flags,
\nbut a new history
\nof production and employment.<\/p>\n

In trade,
\nmay the question no longer be
\nwho defeated whom,
\nbut what everyone gained.<\/p>\n

For partnership
\nis not the victory of one
\nand the defeat of another.<\/p>\n

Partnership means
\nthat my progress
\nmust not close your road,
\nand your prosperity
\nmust not diminish my rights.<\/p>\n

Let no large nation
\nsit above another
\nsimply because it is large.<\/p>\n

Let no small nation
\nstand below another
\nsimply because it is small.<\/p>\n

At the table of dialogue,
\nlet the size of geography
\nnever outweigh
\nthe equal dignity of sovereignty.<\/p>\n

That is equality.<\/p>\n

Let Nepal become
\nno one\u2019s backyard,
\nno one\u2019s battlefield,
\nno geopolitical pawn
\nto be used against another.<\/p>\n

Let Nepal instead become
\na meeting place for friends,
\na bridge between civilizations,
\na passage through which trust may flow
\nacross both sides of the Himalayas.<\/p>\n

Let China\u2019s development
\nbe no cause for fear in India.<\/p>\n

Let India\u2019s rise
\nbe no cause for suspicion in China.<\/p>\n

Let friendship with Russia
\nnever become a declaration
\nagainst someone else.<\/p>\n

Let cooperation with Nepal
\nnever become proof
\nof anyone\u2019s sphere of influence.<\/p>\n

Let us make friendship
\nnot a reason to search for enemies,
\nbut an art
\nof building trust.<\/p>\n

The world has already seen
\ntoo many wars.<\/p>\n

Too many mothers
\nhave lost their children.<\/p>\n

Too many cities
\nhave turned to ashes.<\/p>\n

Too many generations
\nhave paid the price
\nof hatred.<\/p>\n

Now,
\nlet us write another history.<\/p>\n

A history
\nwhere diplomats arrive
\nbefore soldiers,<\/p>\n

where dialogue comes
\nbefore weapons,<\/p>\n

where understanding is sought
\nbefore sanctions,<\/p>\n

and where, before
\nthe doors of war are opened,
\na hundred windows of peace
\nare thrown wide.<\/p>\n

We do not need
\none ideology.<\/p>\n

We do not need
\none system of government.<\/p>\n

We do not need
\none culture.<\/p>\n

What we need
\nis the wisdom
\nto remain different
\nand still live together.<\/p>\n

That is coexistence.<\/p>\n

To love one\u2019s own country
\nwhile respecting another;<\/p>\n

to protect one\u2019s own interests
\nwithout destroying the interests of others;<\/p>\n

to speak in one\u2019s own voice
\nwhile still listening
\nto the voices of others\u2014<\/p>\n

that is the maturity
\nof civilization.<\/p>\n

Between
\nNepal\u2019s mountains,
\nChina\u2019s plains,
\nIndia\u2019s rivers,
\nand Russia\u2019s vast expanses,<\/p>\n

if a bridge of trust is built,
\nit will not be only four nations
\nthat cross it\u2014<\/p>\n

the future of Asia
\nwill walk upon that bridge.<\/p>\n

There may be trade,
\nbut no exploitation.<\/p>\n

There may be security,
\nbut no intimidation.<\/p>\n

There may be competition,
\nbut no hostility.<\/p>\n

There may be national interests,
\nbut no domination.<\/p>\n

There may be power,
\nbut never
\nthe arrogance of power.<\/p>\n

The four nations
\nneed not think alike
\non every question.<\/p>\n

Friendship does not mean
\nthe end of disagreement.<\/p>\n

Friendship is the wisdom
\nnot to break relations
\nbecause disagreements exist.<\/p>\n

It is the courage,
\nwhen disputes arise,
\nto enlarge the table of dialogue
\nrather than increase soldiers
\nalong the frontier.<\/p>\n

It is the culture,
\nwhen differences emerge,
\nof seeking solutions with dignity
\nrather than answering
\nwith humiliation.<\/p>\n

That is where
\nthe future begins.<\/p>\n

One day,
\nmay four distinct voices rise
\nfrom Kathmandu, Beijing,
\nNew Delhi, and Moscow:<\/p>\n

We are subordinate to no one,
\nand we seek to subordinate no one.<\/p>\n

We do not seek war,
\nbut we seek security.<\/p>\n

We seek development,
\nbut not by destroying nature.<\/p>\n

We seek prosperity,
\nbut not by impoverishing others.<\/p>\n

We seek national pride,
\nbut not by diminishing
\nthe dignity of another nation.<\/p>\n

And we seek friendship\u2014
\nfounded on equality,
\nfounded on trust,
\nfounded on peace.<\/p>\n

On that day,
\ncooperation among these four nations
\nwill no longer live
\nonly in diplomatic documents.<\/p>\n

It will be seen
\nin the farmer\u2019s field,
\nin the student\u2019s book,
\nin the scientist\u2019s laboratory,
\nin the merchant\u2019s journey,
\nin employment for the young,<\/p>\n

and it will be felt
\nin the secure life
\nof an ordinary citizen.<\/p>\n

Only then
\nwill regional stability
\ncease to be a phrase
\nspoken from podiums\u2014<\/p>\n

and become
\na lived experience.<\/p>\n

Let us come
\nfrom four directions,
\nyet walk toward
\none shared horizon.<\/p>\n

Let Nepal carry
\nthe lamp of peace;<\/p>\n

China,
\nthe energy of creation;<\/p>\n

India,
\nthe vast inheritance of civilization;<\/p>\n

and Russia,
\nthe resilience of experience.<\/p>\n

Yet above all,
\nlet one truth remain:<\/p>\n

Not large or small\u2014
\nevery nation is equal in dignity.<\/p>\n

Not East or West\u2014
\nall humanity shares
\na common future.<\/p>\n

Not war,
\nnot domination\u2014
\npeace and coexistence
\nmust be our path.<\/p>\n

And may this be
\nour common dream:<\/p>\n

May borders remain secure,
\nrelationships remain open,
\nnations remain sovereign,
\npeople remain prosperous,
\nthe region remain stable,
\nand the world remain at peace.<\/p>\n

Nepal, China, Russia, and India\u2014<\/p>\n

four nations,
\nfour civilizations,
\nfour powers,
\nfour distinct stories.<\/p>\n

Yet if trust
\ncan bring their hands together,<\/p>\n

there can be
\none shared future,
\none horizon of peace,<\/p>\n

and, in the name of humanity,
\na new history
\nwaiting to be written.<\/p>\n
