Businesses are closing. People are losing their jobs, and the standard of living is falling,\u201d Putin said. He argued that Germany\u2019s policies were being justified by the need to \u201cresist aggressive Russia.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Putin also questioned Germany\u2019s allegations linking Russia to the discovery of an explosive-laden drone at Leipzig\/Halle Airport. He accused Berlin of manufacturing evidence against Russia.<\/p>\n<p>The German government has formally blamed actors linked to the Russian state for the drone incident. In response, Berlin announced measures including the closure of the Russian Consulate General in Bonn, the termination of arrangements governing the Russian House in Berlin and tighter entry controls for Russian citizens. Russia has rejected the allegations and described Germany\u2019s actions as a further escalation in bilateral tensions.<\/p>\n<p>Germany\u2019s economy has faced pressure in recent years from high industrial costs, energy prices, uncertainty in global trade and structural challenges. However, some recent indicators have also pointed to limited signs of improvement.
