Rastriya Swatantra Party Chair Rabi Lamichhane has said that it would be wrong to claim that the government has done nothing in response to the ongoing disaster.<\/p>\n

Addressing a meeting of the House of Representatives today, Lamichhane said state mechanisms are currently working amid the devastating ruins and inside tunnels in search of citizens who remain trapped or missing.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have heard people saying, \u2018The state has done nothing. Where is the state?\u2019 The strongest response to the claim that the state has done nothing is to show clearly, with visible evidence, where the state actually is,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Lamichhane said the government had left no stone unturned in carrying out its responsibilities and expressed dissatisfaction over continued accusations and counter-accusations even at a time of national disaster.<\/p>\n

He stressed that search and rescue operations, relief efforts and support for affected families should remain the immediate priorities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThis is not the time to cook political bread over a crisis,\u201d Lamichhane said, warning against using the disaster for political advantage.<\/p>\n

He emphasized that confronting the disaster is a shared responsibility of the government, political parties and society, and that saving lives and supporting affected citizens should take precedence over political blame games.<\/p>\n
