A clearly documented account of the disaster, supported by defined financing and technical requirements, would allow Nepal to move beyond a general appeal for international sympathy.<\/p>\n

The practical questions are whether the country can secure access to climate-related financing, technical assistance, reconstruction support and sustained regional cooperation.<\/p>\n

The significance of its participation should ultimately be examined through those outcomes rather than the attention received by a speech alone.<\/p>\n

Artificial Intelligence: Who Will Shape the Rules of Emerging Technology?<\/h3>\n

Artificial intelligence has become an important subject in international discussions about economic transformation, public administration, security and technological governance.<\/p>\n

Its potential applications extend across scientific research, healthcare, education, industry and government services. At the same time, its expansion raises concerns about unequal access, surveillance, misinformation, military applications and the concentration of technological capacity.<\/p>\n

The United States, China, European countries and developing economies do not possess identical technological capabilities or regulatory priorities.<\/p>\n

International cooperation must therefore address the interests of countries developing advanced systems as well as societies primarily using technologies created elsewhere.<\/p>\n

The continuing relevance of the United Nations does not mean that its effectiveness should be assumed. Its near-universal membership gives it a distinctive role in international dialogue, while its performance depends on the willingness of member states to act through shared institutions.<\/p>\n

New York will provide a record of national positions. Diplomatic meetings in Washington and elsewhere will offer further insight into relations among major powers. Discussions on climate, development and technology will help identify areas where international rules and cooperation may evolve.<\/p>\n

For Nepal and other vulnerable countries, these processes have consequences extending far beyond diplomatic visibility. They affect the availability of resources, the security of communities and the capacity to prepare for future emergencies.<\/p>\n

The defining feature of the 81st General Assembly is therefore not one speech or one summit meeting. It is the simultaneous effort to manage strategic competition, respond to immediate crises and develop forms of international cooperation capable of addressing problems that no country can resolve alone.<\/p>\n
