The appointment was announced on Tuesday as part of a broader leadership reshuffle involving Xizang, Gansu and Qinghai.<\/p>\n<p>Under the new arrangements, Hu has stepped down as Party secretary of Gansu Province. Wu Xiaojun, previously Party secretary of Qinghai Province, has been appointed to lead Gansu, while Qinghai Governor Luo Dongchuan has assumed the position of Party secretary of Qinghai.<\/p>\n<p>Born in December 1963, Hu is a member of the 20th CPC Central Committee. He has held senior leadership positions in several Chinese provinces, including Sichuan, Qinghai, Fujian and Heilongjiang. He had served as Party secretary of Gansu since December 2022.<\/p>\n<p>The central leadership decision was announced at a meeting in Xizang on September 22 by Hao Chunhui, deputy head of the Organization Department of the CPC Central Committee.
