Xi Jinping, general secretary of the CPC Central Committee, delivered a work report on behalf of the Political Bureau and explained a draft decision on strengthening comprehensive and rigorous Party self-governance.<\/p>\n<p>The draft reviews the achievements and experience gained in Party self-governance in the new era. It also analyzes the current situation and future tasks in Party building and sets out strategic plans for strengthening self-governance.<\/p>\n<p>The Political Bureau previously said that significant progress had been made in this work since the 18th CPC National Congress in 2012, opening a new chapter in the century-old Party\u2019s efforts at self-reform and bringing historic achievements and changes to the Party and the country.<\/p>\n<p>The meeting said that profound changes in the world, China and the Party had brought new circumstances and challenges for efforts to strengthen Party self-governance.
