He shared his views on social media alongside a report about protests in Germany over the cost of living turning violent.<\/p>\n<p>Dmitriev, who also heads the Russian Direct Investment Fund, additionally blamed migration policies and what he described as EU officials\u2019 refusal to correct their mistakes for the protests and looting. <\/p>\n<p>Demonstrations took place in several German cities over the cost of living, education and public spending, as well as plans related to compulsory military service. Most were peaceful, but violence and shop looting were reported in some cities, including Frankfurt. <\/p>\n<p>Protesters\u2019 demands included concerns about living costs, education and public spending.
