Israel Intensifies Preparations for Potential Conflict with Iran
Jerusalem. Israel has intensified its preparations for a potential conflict with Iran by adjusting its air defense deployments and raising its alert level.
According to Israeli media reports on Tuesday, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s office stated that the political-security cabinet convened a pre-scheduled meeting to discuss developments related to Iran.
Israeli Army Radio reported that the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) have increased readiness for a range of potential conflict scenarios involving Iran and have placed several military formations on heightened alert.
Public broadcaster Kan reported that changes were made to Israel’s air defense systems over the past 24 hours, including the deployment of the Iron Dome interceptor system. Citing officials, broadcasters stated that Israel assesses that Iran is unlikely to attack Israel unless the United States carries out a large-scale strike on Iranian territory.
Prior to this, U.S. President Donald Trump urged Iranians to continue protesting and said “help is on the way,” but did not provide any detailed explanation.
Last June, Israel launched a 12-day war against Iran, during which Israeli warplanes carried out strikes on Iranian military targets.
