Khajura Night Football Festival
Inauguration Sees Participation of 17 Teams; Exciting Matches Including a Walkover on Day One

Khajura : The grand opening ceremony of the First Khajura Brothers 5-A-Side Night Tournament 2082 was held in Khajura amidst the enthusiasm of local football fans and the presence of a large number of spectators. A total of 17 teams are participating in this tournament.

The opening ceremony of the competition took place under the chairmanship of the club’s president, Bibek Sagar Paudel, with Tek Bahadur Rokaya as the chief guest. The event was also graced by the dignified presence of various other prominent figures. Those present included Balaram Khatri (President, New Dafe Sports Club), journalist Khagendra Dahal, Hari Prakash B.K. (Alisa Jewelers), club vice-president Jeevan Gurung, advisors Bam Bahadur Shahi and Sharad Kumar Nepal, treasurer Rakesh Paudel, and secretary Aashish Gurung, among others.

Although the opening ceremony was completed grandly, the matches had to be started at 7:00 PM instead of the scheduled 6:00 PM due to technical reasons. Furthermore, the organizers informed that while many other teams had shown great interest in participating in the competition, they could not be included due to late registration. The organizers have apologized to all the teams and football-loving spectators for this.

Day One Match Results:
Three matches were completed on the first day of the tournament.
· First Match (Inaugural Match): The inaugural match was contested between the familiar local teams, New Dafe Sports Club “D” Gaun and New Darpan Yuwa Sports Club “E” Gaun. Both teams displayed excellent performance, but within the stipulated time, New Dafe scored 3 goals while New Darpan Yuwa Sports Club scored 4 goals, securing a thrilling victory.

· Second Match: The second match was played between Brothers FC Legend and Sahara FC (A) . This match also saw a flurry of goals. Brothers Legend managed to score 4 goals, while Sahara FC (A) could only reply with 3 goals, resulting in a win for Brothers FC Legend.
· Third Match: The third match was scheduled to be played between Brothers FC and Shamsherganj FC. However, as Shamsherganj FC did not appear on the field, Brothers FC was awarded a ‘walkover’ according to the tournament rules, securing an automatic victory.
This night tournament, organized with the aim of highlighting local football talent, has seen enthusiastic participation from the audience. The organizers have stated that more exciting matches will be held in the coming days.
