Nuclear Weapons for Ukraine: Britain-France Conspiracy, Claims Russian Intelligence Agency
Moscow, – The Russian Foreign Intelligence Service (SVR) has claimed that Britain and France are actively involved in a conspiracy to provide nuclear weapons to Ukraine. According to a statement issued Monday by the SVR Press Bureau, although Britain and France recognize there is no possibility of achieving victory over Russia through the Ukrainian armed forces, they are not ready to accept defeat.
The statement reads, “In their understanding, Ukraine must be supplied with a ‘Wunderwaffe’ (miracle weapon). If Kyiv possessed a nuclear weapon or at least a ‘dirty’ bomb, it could aspire to more favorable terms for a ceasefire. Germany, however, has prudently refused to participate in this dangerous adventure.”
According to the SVR, London and Paris are currently actively working on the issue of providing Kyiv with such weapons and their delivery systems. This involves plans to covertly transfer European-made components, equipment, and technologies to Ukraine. As a potential option, the small-sized TN-75 warhead used in France’s M51.1 submarine-launched ballistic missile is being considered.
According to the Russian intelligence agency, Britain and France realize that their plan constitutes a gross violation of international law, particularly the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons, and carries the risk of collapsing the global non-proliferation regime. Therefore, the main effort of Western countries is focused on making it appear as if Ukraine itself developed any nuclear weapon it possesses.
The SVR stated that these extremely dangerous plans of London and Paris prove they have lost touch with reality. Their hopes of evading responsibility are baseless, especially considering that nothing hidden remains hidden forever. The statement adds, “There are many sober-minded people in military, political, and diplomatic circles who understand that the reckless actions of their leaders pose a threat to the entire world.”
