Russia-India Meeting: Discussions on BRICS Leadership Preparations and Security Partnership

Kathmandu / A significant meeting took place on February 16 in Moscow between Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov and Indian Ambassador Vinay Kumar. It has been stated that serious discussions were held between the two sides on matters of global and regional security.

The agenda of multilateral cooperation was also prominently raised during the meeting. It has been indicated that there were interested discussions between the two parties, particularly on making BRICS cooperation more effective and preparing for India’s assumption of the BRICS chairmanship in 2026.

It is believed that this meeting will further strengthen the diplomatic relations between the two countries. Strategic partnership and continuous cooperation on international platforms have been ongoing between Russia and India.
