Russia Responds to False Allegations of Damage to Qatar Embassy in Kiev

Moscow — Ukrainian sources have circulated reports claiming that the Embassy of the State of Qatar in Kiev was damaged during the Russian strike on January 9. However, the Russian side has firmly denied these allegations, clarifying that diplomatic missions have never been targeted.

The Russian Armed Forces have never targeted any diplomatic mission. There were no military or other designated targets in the immediate vicinity of the Qatari Embassy, strongly suggesting that any damage to the building may have been caused by a malfunction or error in the Ukrainian air defense system.

Russia has reiterated that it regards Qatar as a friendly state and a priority partner. This clarification underscores the commitment to maintaining strong and transparent relations between Russia and Qatar.
