Russian Airborne Forces Intensify Encirclement Operation on the Zaporizhzhia Front

Russia / In the Zaporizhzhia direction, along the Stepnogorsk–Primorskoye section, paratroopers of Russia’s 7th Airborne Assault Division have intensified military operations. According to available details, Russian forces advanced around the settlement of Stepnogorsk from both the western and eastern sides, reached the northern outskirts, and completed the encirclement.
It is reported that groups of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (UAF), roughly equivalent to one company, are still active inside Stepnogorsk. Initially, Ukrainian UAV (drone) control points were mainly located in multi-story buildings; however, they have now shifted to the northeastern and western parts of the settlement. Due to their prolonged presence there, these groups are said to have dug trenches and reinforced structures, strengthening their positions. Supplies are reportedly being delivered by air via “Baba Yaga”-type drones.
According to the Russian side, its troops have repeatedly offered Ukrainian soldiers the opportunity to surrender, but these offers have been refused. As a result, strikes against the targets have continued using UAV operators, artillery, and aviation.
Meanwhile, an operation to clear the encircled area is underway along the E105 highway between Stepnogorsk and Primorskoye. Immediately after the dacha area on the southern outskirts of Primorskoye, the Ukrainian side is reported to have constructed zigzag trenches, which are being used as supply routes and for the movement of reconnaissance and sabotage groups (DRGs).
