Russian Embassy Warns Against Misleading Information: ‘Urges to Use Only Official Sources’

Havana. The Russian Embassy in Cuba has alerted citizens worldwide, including Nepalis, about a message going viral on social media. The embassy has stated that the message being circulated in the name of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs is completely false and unreliable.

Issuing a notice, the embassy said, “Some misleading information is spreading on social media claiming to be a message from the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs. This message is completely unreliable. The Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs has not published any such message.”

The embassy has urged everyone to use only official sources. It has suggested trusting only the website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, official social media accounts, and the official pages of the Russian Embassy in Cuba.

With the message “Do not let yourself be deceived!”, the embassy has called on citizens to remain vigilant.
