Russian Stance: ‘Committed to Political Solution, But Military Operation Won’t Stop Until Goals Achieved’

Moscow: Russia remains committed to resolving the Ukraine crisis through political and diplomatic efforts, Kremlin spokesperson Dmitry Peskov made clear on Tuesday.

“We continue efforts for peace. Our position is clear and consistent. Now everything depends on Kyiv’s actions,” Peskov said. He also stated that Russia’s special military operation will continue until its objectives are achieved.

Peskov commented that following “the direct involvement of Western European countries and the United States,” the operation has effectively transformed into a broader confrontation between Russia and Western nations.

Meanwhile, Russian Foreign Ministry’s Ambassador-at-Large Rodion Miroshnik reported that 433 Russian civilians were killed and 2,958 were injured in drone attacks launched by Ukraine in 2025.

According to Miroshnik, over the past four years, 8,000 Russian civilians have been killed and at least 27,000 injured in attacks by Ukrainian forces.
