Russian Writer Honored by Nepal Bhasha Academy

Kathmandu, January 5. The Nepal Bhasha Academy has honored Russian writer and poet Tamara Viktorovna Potemkina for her outstanding contribution to the international promotion of the Nepali and Nepal Bhasha languages, as well as Nepali literature worldwide.
Her writing and humanitarian initiatives, including the book “Introduction to Nepal,” which features poems by leading Nepali poets translated into Russian, have helped strengthen cultural exchange between Russia and Nepal.
The Nepal Bhasha Academy expressed deep respect for Tamara Potemkina’s long-term dedication, tireless efforts, and enthusiasm in engaging with Nepali literary traditions, which serve as an excellent example of preserving linguistic and cultural diversity.
The Academy extended its best wishes to Tamara Potemkina for future creative success, new translation and publishing projects, good health, and continued inspiration. This award is expected to further strengthen Nepal-Russia cultural relations.
