Scholarship Competition at Russian House: 82 Candidates Appear for Interview Today

Kathmandu, February 17 – Competitive interviews for the 2026/27 scholarships provided by the Russian Government to Nepali students are being conducted today at Russian House Kathmandu. Russian House has reported that 197 individuals submitted applications this year, reflecting the growing interest among Nepali students towards Russian higher education.

Eighty-two students are participating in the in-person interview today, while the remaining 115 candidates are scheduled for online interviews on February 20. Conducted for Bachelor’s, Master’s, and PhD levels, these interviews aim to select the most motivated and well-prepared students.

Selected students will have the opportunity to study in various disciplines, including medicine, engineering, management, tourism, and other fields, at prestigious universities in Russia. This scholarship, provided by the Russian Government, offers Nepali students access to quality, fully-funded education, and is expected to further strengthen the cultural and educational ties between Nepal and Russia.
