U.S. Ambassador Highlights Strong Technology Partnership as He Inaugurates Veel App in Nepal

Kathmandu — The U.S. company Veel App formally inaugurated its Kathmandu office and new products today. Attending the event, U.S. Ambassador to Nepal Dean Thompson stated that Nepal–U.S. technological cooperation is deepening further.
Founded by Nepali–American entrepreneur Dilip Dhakal, Veel provides a digital platform that connects content creators around the world with top brands. The company has been developing various tools to make collaboration between creators and American as well as other international brands more seamless, efficient, and profitable.

Currently, the company is creating jobs in both the United States and Nepal, and according to Dhakal, plans are underway to expand opportunities in the coming years.
At the inauguration ceremony, Ambassador Thompson highlighted Nepal as an emerging destination for technology and innovation, stating that American companies like Veel see strong potential here. According to him, such enterprises not only help American content creators become more competitive and profitable in the global market, but also contribute to economic growth and job creation in Nepal’s private sector.
The Ambassador noted that the United States’ ongoing support for Nepali skills development, energy strengthening, and digital economy advancement is opening new opportunities for both nations, expressing confidence that technological cooperation will expand even further in the days ahead.
The event showcased the growing economic cooperation and technological dynamism between Nepal and the United States.
