Zelensky to Raise Security Guarantees and Peace Plan in Meeting with Trump

Kathmandu / Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that he plans to discuss security guarantees for Ukraine in an upcoming meeting with US President Donald Trump.

Speaking to journalists on Friday, Zelensky confirmed that the meeting is scheduled to take place on Sunday in the US state of Florida. This information was reported by the Interfax-Ukraine news agency.

According to him, during the talks, Ukraine will also raise territorial issues and the question of control over the Zaporizhzhia Nuclear Power Plant. Zaporizhzhia is considered Europe’s largest nuclear power plant, and the issue of its control has remained a sensitive topic in the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Zelensky also informed that the 20-point peace plan is nearly 90% ready, and some documents related to security guarantees have already been prepared.

He explained that the proposed peace plan involves four parties: Ukraine, the United States, Russia, and Europe. He clarified that without the participation of Russia and Europe, signing the document would not be possible.

Amid intensifying diplomatic efforts in the context of the Ukraine-Russia war, the meeting between Zelensky and Trump is being viewed as highly significant.
