Zelensky’s Two Messages: Ready for Peace, But Europe Must Also Be Included in Talks

Kathmandu — Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky has stated that his country is ready for any agreement that would bring real peace. He made this remark while addressing the ongoing Munich Security Conference in Munich, Germany.
According to the Ukrainian news agency Ukrinform, Zelensky said, “Ukraine is ready for an agreement that will give us, Ukraine, and Europe real peace.” He emphasized that this crisis can be ended, but first and foremost, it must be done with dignity. “This is the most important thing for us,” Zelensky said.
Expressing concern over the absence of Europe at the negotiating table, Zelensky described it as a ‘big mistake’. He stated, “Europe is practically not at the negotiating table, which is a big mistake.” He mentioned that Ukrainians are trying to fully involve Europe in the negotiation process so that “the interests of Europe and the voice of Europe are taken into account.”
Zelensky also stated that Ukraine will do everything to make these negotiations successful and is in constant contact with U.S. representatives. He said, “We will do everything to make these negotiations successful and are in constant contact with U.S. representatives.”
Zelensky’s expression shows that Ukraine places immense importance on the role of European partners in resolving the Ukraine-Russia conflict, while also highlighting the necessity of Europe’s mandatory presence in the peace process.
