Congress Reviews Koshi Province Election Results; President Thapa and Top Leaders in Biratnagar

BIRATNAGAR — The Nepali Congress is holding an election review program today in Biratnagar, the capital of Koshi Province. The event will see the participation of party President Gagan Kumar Thapa, along with central office-bearers, the provincial working committee, federal and provincial lawmakers, district presidents, constituency presidents, and both direct and proportional candidates from the previous elections.
According to party Joint General Secretary Dr. Dila Sangraula, as per the pre-determined schedule, President Thapa will arrive at Biratnagar Airport at 9:50 AM, and the review program will commence at 10:30 AM.
Joint General Secretary Sangraula informed that the program will focus on discussions regarding the strengthening of the party’s provincial-level organization, a detailed review of the latest election results, and the formulation of future political strategies. Additionally, issues related to leadership management in Koshi Province and organizational strengthening will also be given priority during the meeting.
The Nepali Congress has already completed similar election review meetings in Gandaki, Lumbini, Bagmati, and Madhesh provinces. The party leadership has stated that these review programs are being advanced not merely as analyses of electoral victories and defeats, but as a means to gather direct feedback on the condition, weaknesses, and potential for improvement of the party organization from the local to the provincial level.
The meeting is also expected to hold in-depth discussions on topics such as future political strategy, organizational expansion, active membership management, preparations for the 15th General Convention, and enhancing the activism of party workers.
