Digital Cooperation in the Justice Sector: Chinese Envoy and Law Minister Gautam Discuss Expanding Investment and Tourism

Kathmandu — Chinese Ambassador to Nepal, Zhang Maoming, paid a courtesy call on Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs, Sovita Gautam. During the meeting, Ambassador Zhang congratulated the newly appointed Minister Gautam and extended his best wishes.

In the talks, Minister Gautam informed that the Government of Nepal is working with high priority on good governance, rapid social and economic development, digital transformation, and effective public service delivery.

Likewise, positive discussions were held on further strengthening the historic friendship and bilateral partnership between Nepal and China, as well as expanding cooperation in the areas of investment, tourism, and law and justice. In particular, an understanding was reached to enhance cooperation between the two sides on digital transformation to ensure easy access to justice, knowledge exchange, and strengthening the rule of law.
