One Killed in Sharp Weapon Attack Over Firewood Dispute, Assailant Absconding

Dang. A dispute over collecting firewood in a community forest turned fatal in Rajpur Rural Municipality-4, Motipur, leaving one person dead.

According to Deputy Superintendent of Police Resham Bohora of the District Police Office, Dang, a dispute erupted this afternoon while locals were collecting firewood from the Ramjanki Community Forest area. Following the argument, Ichhakumar Raidas of Santapuruwa in the same rural municipality-4 attacked a local resident with a sharp weapon, resulting in the death of 56-year-old Bhola Yadav.

DSP Bohora stated that Raidas, who fled the scene after the incident, is being searched for and the investigation is ongoing.
