“Don’t Make a Face Fearing My Ties with Balen Might Sour”: Rabi Addresses Lawmakers

Lalitpur – Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairperson Rabi Lamichhane has stated that his relationship with Prime Minister and party senior leader Balendra Shah remains good, urging the media not to speculate unnecessarily about it.

Speaking at length at a lawmaker training programme underway at Staff College in Jwalakhel, Lalitpur, on Sunday, he touched upon subjects ranging from his sub judice case in court to intra-party relations. Speaking to journalists, he remarked, “My relationship with Balen is good. Don’t make a face fearing it might sour.”

The RSP is holding a two-day lawmaker orientation on Saturday and Sunday ahead of the parliamentary session. The party had previously provided training to its lawmakers at the Royal Tulip Hotel as well. With the budget session set to begin on Monday, the party stated that the training has been organised to brief lawmakers on parliamentary decorum, the legislative process and the party’s policies.
