US Air Force C-17 Aircraft Lands at Tribhuvan International Airport

Kathmandu. A United States Air Force aircraft landed at Tribhuvan International Airport on Tuesday evening.

According to available information, the Boeing C-17A Globemaster III aircraft, bearing the US Air Force callsign RCH 1815, touched down in Kathmandu at 7 p.m. The aircraft, under the command of Captain Nicholas, is understood to have been carrying 17 personnel on board.

The aircraft is reported to have flown to Kathmandu from Islamabad, Pakistan, via Kyrgyzstan. However, the purpose of the aircraft’s arrival and the duration of its stay in Nepal have not been disclosed.

US military aircraft have made periodic visits to Nepal in the past as well. The C-17 Globemaster III is primarily used for military transport, humanitarian assistance, and disaster relief operations.
