Russian Foreign Minister Lavrov Meets Serbian Official Vulin, Discusses Energy Cooperation and Balkan Stability

Moscow — Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov met with Aleksandr Vulin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the state-owned company Srbijagas, on May 26, the Russian Foreign Ministry said.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current state of Russian-Serbian cooperation in key areas, including energy, as well as the implementation process of agreements reached during the 21st meeting of the Russian-Serbian Intergovernmental Committee on Trade, Economic, Scientific, and Technical Cooperation, held on April 24 in Belgrade.

Developments in the Balkans were also considered. The parties emphasised the fundamental importance of UN Security Council Resolution 1244 in the context of resolving the Kosovo issue and expressed their shared interest in maintaining stability in the region.
