Indian NSA Doval Visits Russian Space Centre, Holds Live Chat with Cosmonauts

Moscow – India’s National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Russia’s First Deputy Prime Minister Denis Manturov jointly visited the Joint Information Centre of Roscosmos at the Valentina Tereshkova National Space Centre.

The Centre has been established to monitor and analyze vast volumes of data related to the rocket and space industry, and will serve as the future control centre for the Russian Orbital Station.

Prior to visiting the Centre, the dignitaries toured an exhibition of space technology. On display were models of the world’s most powerful four-chamber liquid-propellant rocket engine, the base module of the Russian Orbital Station, and other advanced developments from the space industry.

During the visit, Manturov and Doval also participated in a live communication session with Russian crew members aboard the International Space Station — Sergey Kud-Sverchkov, Andrey Fedyaev, and Sergey Mikaev. The cosmonauts briefed them on a spacewalk conducted the previous day and shared details of their ongoing work in orbit.
